On-Site Repair and Maintenance Services

On-Site Repair and Maintenance for Conveyors and Automation

Conveyor lines fail during production, not during a quiet week. LVP Automation maintains and repairs conveyor and automation equipment on site, covering the mechanical and the electrical side together, so one team looks at the motor, gearbox and belt as well as the panel, the drives and the control programme.

Alongside reactive callouts we set up yearly maintenance contracts, shaped around how hard a line actually runs rather than a fixed template, and we handle relocation and commissioning when equipment moves bay or site or a new line is brought into production. We work on systems we supplied and on machinery installed by other suppliers. We are based in Finglas, Dublin 11 and work with customers across Ireland.

What Our Repair and Maintenance Service Covers

Planned maintenance or a callout?

Planned maintenance is scheduled work under a contract: visits at agreed intervals covering the parts that wear — belts, bearings, chains, drives, guarding, sensors and panel connections — and changing them before they fail. It is booked around your production rather than around a breakdown.

A callout is for a line that has already stopped. Where the failure is mechanical, or the cause is already known, that is a repair visit. Where it is electrical and nobody yet knows why, the work starts as electrical fault finding — tracing the cause before anything is replaced.

Most sites use both: a contract for the predictable work, and callouts for everything else.

Relocation and commissioning

When a line moves — to another bay, another building or another site — we handle the strip-down, the move, the reassembly and the commissioning, and prove the system runs at production speed before handing it back. The same applies to newly installed equipment, including equipment we did not supply.

Related services

If a line stops and the electrical cause is unknown, start with electrical fault finding. Where an ageing control panel is the recurring weak point, see electrical control panel building. For changes to how a line behaves rather than a repair, see PLC programming. We also supply spare parts and accessories and replacement conveyor belting.

Common questions

Do you maintain equipment you did not supply? Yes. We service conveyors, control panels and machinery installed by other suppliers, including PLC programmes written by someone else.

What does a maintenance contract cover? It is built around your line rather than sold as a fixed package. Visit frequency depends on how many hours the equipment runs and how punishing the environment is, and the scope covers the mechanical wear items and the electrical side in the same visit.

Can you move a conveyor line to a new site? Yes. Relocation covers the strip-down, the move, reassembly and recommissioning, so the line is running again rather than simply delivered.

Is maintenance worth it on older equipment? Often it is the point at which it matters most, because wear is further along and failures cluster. Where a machine is past the point of sensible repair we will say so rather than keep servicing it.

Where do you cover? We are based in Finglas, Dublin 11 and work with customers across Ireland.
