Flexible Conveyors

Flexible conveyors expand, retract and curve around obstacles, which makes them the fastest way to get product into and out of vehicles, containers and temporary work areas. A flexible conveyor is built from a concertina frame carrying rollers or skatewheels, so a short stored length extends to several times its size and bends through tight radii. Powered versions are used for continuous trailer loading and unloading, while gravity versions are ideal for occasional use where an operator is present. Because the unit rolls on castors and locks in position, one conveyor can serve several loading bays across a shift.

When you are specifying one, the things that matter are extended and retracted length, the minimum turning radius, load per metre and whether powered drive is needed. Flexible units are frequently combined with fixed roller conveyors at the bay itself and with gravity roller conveyors feeding the packing area.
