Powered roller conveyors drive the rollers themselves, giving controlled movement, accumulation and timed release of cartons, totes and trays without an operator pushing product along the bed. LVP Automation supplies lineshaft conveyors in light, medium and heavy duty builds together with zero line pressure conveyors for applications where packs must never touch.
Lineshaft conveyors use a single rotating shaft beneath the bed with slip belts driving each roller. That makes them quiet, energy efficient and simple to divide into zones. Because the drive slips rather than stalls, product can be held mid line without tripping the motor, which suits buffering ahead of a labeller, checkweigher, strapper or wrapper. Zero line pressure conveyors go further by holding each item in its own zone with a gap to the next, protecting fragile, already labelled or freshly printed packs from back pressure damage.
Specifying a driven roller conveyor means matching roller diameter and pitch to the product base, sizing the drive to the accumulated load, and deciding how many zones the controls need to manage. Sensors, stops and zone logic can be supplied ready to run or integrated with your existing line PLC. Powered sections combine easily with gravity roller conveyors on the free running parts of a layout and with corner conveyors where the route has to change direction.
