Layer Palletisers

Layer palletisers build a full pallet layer at a time rather than placing individual cases, which is what makes them the fastest and gentlest way to palletise at volume. The choice starts with rate and number of lines. A semi automatic palletiser suits a single line where an operator is present and volumes are moderate. A compact automatic palletiser handles a single line unattended in a small footprint. Flow palletisers form the layer continuously as product arrives, which suits steady high speed lines. Multi line and high capacity machines take feeds from several lines and build pallets to different patterns simultaneously, which is where the real labour saving is found in a busy plant.

Layer palletising is gentler on packaging than case by case handling because the whole layer is transferred at once, and pattern flexibility means new pallet configurations are a software change rather than a mechanical one. A palletiser is only as good as the flow into and out of it, so we design the conveyor infeed, the pallet handling and the wrapping and strapping together.
