Slat Chain Conveyors

Slat chain conveyors carry product on a chain of hinged slats, which gives a strong, flat, positively driven surface that copes with heavy, hot, oily or awkward loads. Aluminium slat is light, quiet and well suited to assembly lines, component handling and general packaging duty. Stainless steel slat is used where washdown, chemicals, high temperatures or food and pharmaceutical hygiene rules apply. Because each slat is supported by the chain, the surface stays flat under load and carries unstable or heavy items that a belt would deflect under, and the chain can be routed through bends and inclines.

The most space efficient members of the family are the vertical and spiral versions, which gain height in a very small footprint. A slat spiral conveyor lifts or lowers a continuous flow of product between floors, mezzanines or machine levels without the stop and start of a lift.
