Secondary Packaging

Secondary packaging groups, protects and presents primary packs ready for distribution. LVP Automation supplies cartoning machines, forming machines, closing and lidding machines, sleeving machines, end of line equipment and complete packaging lines to manufacturers across Ireland.

Case and carton forming machines erect and glue blanks ready for filling. Cartoning machines load product into cartons at rate, side load or top load depending on the product. Closing and lidding machines seal the pack consistently so it survives the supply chain. Sleeving machines apply a printed sleeve where branding or multipack presentation matters. Each of these can be supplied as a standalone machine or specified as part of one continuous line.

The value in secondary packaging usually comes from the line, not the individual machine. Buffering, accumulation, reject handling and changeover design determine whether the line runs at its rated speed or spends the shift stopping and starting.
