Modular Belt Conveyors

Modular belt conveyors run a belt made from interlocking plastic modules over toothed sprockets, giving positive drive, no tracking problems and the ability to build curves, inclines and long runs in a single machine. The belt itself is the reason this style is so widely used. Flat top belting carries small, thin or unstable products that would fall between rollers. Open grid and flush grid belting drains and dries quickly, which suits wet processes and daily washdown. Because the belt is built from individual modules, a damaged section is rebuilt in place rather than the whole belt being replaced, and the width can be specified to suit the product rather than a standard size.

Modular belt handles curves and inclines that a fabric belt cannot, so one conveyor can leave a machine, turn ninety degrees and climb to a mezzanine or packing line with no transfer points. That removes the gaps where product tips or jams. Stainless steel frames are available for hygienic areas and aluminium for lighter duty.
